How It All Started
Me and two friends started going to the gym about a year and a half ago. No program, no plan, just showing up and figuring it out as we went.
For the first couple months we weren't tracking anything. And it showed — we'd get to the gym and genuinely not remember what we trained the week before. Did we do back? Was that chest day or did we skip it? We'd just pick something and go. Not exactly a recipe for progress.
So we started using an Excel sheet. It did the job but it was ugly, clunky, and nobody wanted to open it mid-workout. Half the time we'd forget to log it and we were back to square one.
That's when I decided to just build an app. Something simple, clean, and actually easy to use during a workout — not something you need a tutorial for. No bloated features, no confusing menus. Just log what you did and move on.
Here's what I built into it:
That app is GymPlanner by Arrow. It's built for people who want to stay consistent and actually see their progress over time — without paying for some expensive subscription just to track a few exercises. We kept the price low on purpose. Not everyone needs a $30/month fitness platform. Sometimes you just need something that's simple and works.
